FAQ
Twenty things trade partners ask first.
If your question isn't here, email pore@jmpghana.com or call (323) 742-5888 during yard hours. We answer most messages within a few hours.
Is JMP Stone Supply open to the public?+
No — we are a trade-only wholesale yard. We sell to licensed fabricators, contractors, kitchen and bath dealers, builders, and the design trade. If you are a homeowner, ask your fabricator to walk the yard with you.
What do I need to open a trade account?+
A California resale certificate, a current CSLB license number (or design-trade equivalent), and a W-9. Paperwork takes about a business day to process once we have everything.
Do you offer net-30 terms?+
Yes, after a credit application is approved. First three orders are typically prepaid while we set up references. Most accounts move to net-30 within 60 days.
What is your minimum order?+
There is no slab minimum. Remnants are sold by the piece. Drop-ship from manufacturer partners has a one-slab minimum and a freight fee unless combined with a regular delivery.
Where do you deliver?+
Our flat-fee delivery zone covers Sacramento, Roseville, Folsom, Auburn, Rocklin, Lincoln, Loomis, El Dorado Hills, and Granite Bay. We deliver to the Bay Area, Reno, and the Central Valley with a quoted freight charge.
How do slab reservations work?+
A trade-account holder can place a 7-day hold by email or phone. After 7 days the hold expires unless renewed. We do not double-book a tagged slab.
Can my client visit with me?+
Yes — that's most of our showroom traffic. We ask trade partners to schedule for design walk-throughs so a sales associate can pull lots in advance.
Do you fabricate?+
No. We refer to a vetted list of fabricators in the region and stay out of the install side so we don't compete with the shops we sell to.
What lead time should I quote my client?+
Stocked slabs ship next business day. Drop-ship engineered quartz typically lands in 5 to 8 business days. Special-order natural stone from overseas runs 6 to 12 weeks depending on origin.
Do you carry remnants?+
Yes, and we update the remnant rack weekly. Smaller pieces priced per square foot. Email pore@jmpghana.com for the current list.
What is your return policy on slabs?+
Uncut slabs in original condition may be returned within 14 days for store credit, less a 15% restocking fee. Cut slabs are non-returnable.
Do you charge for samples?+
First five samples per project are complimentary to trade partners. Larger sample requests are billed at our cost.
How are slabs labeled?+
Each slab has a printed tag with material, color, dimensions, thickness, finish, origin block, and date received. Tags carry the lot QR for reorder reference.
Do you offer color matching?+
Yes, when more material is needed for the same job. Same-block reorder is rarely possible after 90 days, so we recommend pulling everything for a project on the first reservation.
Can I pick up at the yard?+
Yes — bring an A-frame rated for at least 1,200 lbs, ratchet straps, and proof of insurance. We load with the overhead crane during yard hours.
What payment methods do you accept?+
Check, ACH, wire, and credit cards (3% processing fee on cards). Net-30 terms apply once approved.
Is the warehouse air-conditioned?+
The slab gallery is climate-controlled in summer for client walk-throughs. The yard and racks are open-air under steel canopies.
Do you carry exotic stones?+
We bring in 4 to 6 exotic lots each quarter — Patagonia, Blue Macaubas, Cristallo Tiffany. Tagged on the website Inventory page when they land.
Do you ship out of state?+
Occasionally, with freight quoted by load. Most of our business stays inside California and Northern Nevada.
Are your slabs ethically sourced?+
Our import partners maintain TFT and ISO 14001 documentation. We make those certificates available to architects on request for LEED submittals.
